My mom has been in the hospital for a few weeks. She's on dialysis like me, diabetic for years like me. She's been having trouble eating for months and she had a lot of surgeries in the last week. I went up and seen her a few days ago and I wasn't able to talk to her or see her for long but she looked good for what she had been through. She was going to have surgery today to connect her feeding tube and the hope for her recovery. Well I just got a call from the hospital chaplain and my dad. Her heart is now having trouble and the surgery was canceled. After my dialysis today I have to take the drive up to the hospital to say my goodbyes. It's hard to even write this but I need to just so I can see it. She's in her early 50's and it's been hard to watch all of this go on and at the same time know what she was going through as I'm 29 and doing the same thing as her. I never cared for her doctor and thought she should be doing better than she was.
Sorry I had to post this but I'm trying to stay as strong as I can and seeing this out loud is going to help a bit.
