For sure! I've always wanted to buy an amber toggle switch knob but at some point I just felt right with this one. Another difference to the gibson model are the white humbucker mounting rings and the white tuning machine heads but these one aren't available for the mass market I think.

Looks awsome!....nice mods.....did you also installed Seymour Duncan's on her? or are those the stock pups?

Nice guitar mate :slash:....

Thanks! I do really like this Les Paul. I think "although" it's "only" an Epi the flame top is very beautiful.

On the pictures I had two SD SH6 installed. They're a bit more aggressive than the Alnico II's which I put in recently.

Well, I started this thread to find out some more info on this Slash's Snakepit signature model which is very rare to find......I really wanted this guitar so I tracked down one Epi model on eBay and bought it. I just got it last week....I gotta say it's gorgeous!!....I really love it. I've heard these are hard to find models, so I am glad I found one.

Take a look at it on the images I attached.....I just noticed it's a little dusty on the pics, but it's all nice and clean now.

Thanks to all who contributed on this thread.....

Cheers

Congratulations! I hope you have plenty of nice hours playing it. This guitar and it's finish is definitely something you don't see everyday.

Thanks!....I am really enjoying it, it plays very nice and I love it's finish.....I am very happy with it.....

I might follow your steps and do so some changes on it to make it look like the Gibson model.....

The finish is absolutely killer! I'm awaiting some hardware parts and then I hope the conversion the Gibson original is finished although I have to admit that when I see all the black parts on the pictures the guitar it also looked very cool.

I've just noticed that your tuning keys are already changed. The original ones were also black.

Again: Congrats, man! And a lot of fun!

I used to have the Epi version, Korean made. Sounded muddy / flubby, cheap quality electronics and noisy pots. I couldn't get it to sound nice even after a pickup change. The thing sounded dead.

Mine is probably an exception, but that experience put me off Epiphones for good. Yuck.

Yes....I noted before buying it that the tuners were not the original black ones, the guy who owned it upgraded the tuners to Gibson Deluxe tuners.....which actually saves me the mod.

Please post some pictures when you finish working on your Slash....I'd like to see that for sure.

Cheers.

I ran into an Epi snakepit at a local pawnshop. It was missing a knob and beat up a little, but still looked cool. I regret not snatching it up since the price was $169.00

I haven't seen one since, rare bird indeed.
