That isn't the master track from the AFD album and I don't think that is Slash.

It's not, It's from Guitar Hero 2 which didn't use the GNR version but a cover of the song instead.

I hope he didnt pay extra. Its a cool looking guitar though, but like I posted in the online auction forum, unless it has an authenticated picture or slash with it, its not a slash guitar, even if slash himself was selling it, who probably would have pictures of him playing said guitar.

On another note, the first picture with all of those guitars is slash in 88 or 89 guitar world. I bought that issue back then and have that picture somewhere.

Those other pictures posted of his guitars front and back, are those necks shaved? Is that what a shaved neck looks like or just well played?

That's the same guitar as in the other pics that were already posted. It's obviously not the same guitar as in the OP. The tuners, pickups, switch tip and control knobs are totally different.

the width of the tobacco part of the burst is also different. similar but not the same guitar

I am pretty sure he paid the going rate for a non Slash regular LP from that time period.

That's a great cover of the track, but methinks that it isn't the track used on AFD...:D...I don't think that's slash, either. There's some nuances missing.

I found the clip at the same place i found this one;

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ds7oJ_H5ZW8&feature=related]YouTube - Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle (Rhythm Guitar Track)[/ame]

Are you saying that this isn't Slash playing? :rolleyes:

All the nuances and small little licks that he plays here can be heard in the "complete" version of WTTJ, its just hard because its not that loud in the mix, but they are definitely there.

Like others have said, definitely not Slash but a good cover non-the-less!

It's missing a few things if you listen to both back to back.

Edit: just went to the video on Youtube and the guy who posted it says it came from Guitar Hero.

That one IS Slash. Again, the Sweet Child one was from Guitar Hero 2, That was Not Slash playing on GH2. It was a cover of the song. On Guitar Hero 3 they DID use the AFD Version of Jungle. The guy on his youtube page even says it's from Guitar Hero 2 which confirms it.
