Hello, I have changed the nut of my les paul for a Tusq one.
it's in place, the guitar sounds fine, but, i'm sure the slots are too high.
I have sanded the nut for it to be at the same height as previous one, but it feels and look higher...
so what's the best height for a les paul nut (mine is a traditional with 50s neck)?
what is the standard height of each string on the first fret?
Now it's 1,1 mm high on 1st fret, E bottom(bass) and 0,9 mm high on 1st fret E top.

can someone help me please??:)

That does sound a bit high. I press down on the first fret and measure the gap at the second fret. That gives you your minimum clearance if it doesn't buzz. Make sure you have your action and neck relief set first so you aren't chasing your tail.
