I thought this was appropriate....

Just released today....This guy is hilarious, but he's been knighted for his work and is pretty darn smart....oh and the Nobel Peace Prize as well...

Great channel

There simply does not exist a metal element heavy enough to dare bear his name. A black hole maybe.....

What did he do to deserve that? I had never even heard of the guy, until the recent publicity regarding his passing.

It should be called "Kilmisterium."

I know, five syllables, doesn't exactly roll off the tongue now, does it?

Nope, don't care. Pretty sure he wouldn't either.

Motorhead was not a metal band they were rock and roll!

Label them anyway you want, but IMHO they've always been a headbanger band. How many women have you ever seen getting up and dancing at Motörhead shows? How many women even go to Motörhead shows? Without the girls and the dancing, not a rock and roll band to me.

That is not my label it's Lemmy's. He was adamant about not being labeled as heavy metal.

So if women aren't dancing it's not rock and roll? Here you go.

Here's some more from the "headbanger band".

I'm in. Motorhead was a bad influence on an entire generation... I think I first heard them when I was 15, never quite recovered.

In a hundred years, when people look up "Heavy Metal", Motorhead's Ace of Spades will be one of the three sound files that pop up...

I had a schoolboy crush on his girlfriend too... Kelly Johnson of Girlschool. She passed in 2007... :(

LOL! I wasn't talking about stage dancers, girls in videos, or groupies, for that matter. I'm talking about who attends their shows. It's overwhelmingly guys, most of them headbangers. Not like a rock and roll band audience.

Never heard of headbanging until a friend who was visiting England in the late 70s went to a Motörhead show and saw it firsthand.

Lemmy was certainly capable of playing rock and roll. Ever hear the Lemmy, Slim Jim and Danny B album? But no matter what Lemmy called it, I doubt many people would call Motörhead a rock and roll band.
