I am fairly new to to the Les Pauls, but what did you spot that looked fake? The knob placement seems right, I dont know what your seeing?
I see on the burst one, the tailpiece looks crooked, is that one of the flaws? It appears there are no "nibs" on the necks?
I dont get it, what am I missing?

I'm sure it's my bad, I did some research on the net and found some good info.
I can now see some of the irregularities on these guitar, it is a very good learning experience.

I quit caring about fakes, because if you are cheap enough to really think you are getting a Gibson or other name brand guitar for less than 1-2K even used then you deserve what you get.

Fools and their money.......... ya know.

There's a real shitbag up in Portland selling fakes like crazy... I reported him to Gibson and posted on CL warning people that his stuff was fake. The guy sent me some weird email saying I "crossed the line" and that he was "looking forward to meeting me".

I just checked his website again yesterday and he's STILL selling fakes 2 months later. Gibson must have contacted him. He hasn't stopped selling the fake Gibs and Epis, but he put them on a new page that says "Copies". Unfortunately, he also sells fake Jacksons and other brands that he advertises as the real thing. I just can't imagine how a guy can live with himself when he's ripping people off like that...

The first big thing is the rosewood on a Custom. Never gonna happen... I don't want to list all the things because fakers have been using this site to improve their knock-offs.

Those are probably plywood bodies too... Just awful. Kijiji removed my post, got a notice saying it didn't fit within their terms. I get it, I suppose. Anybody get a reply from this jerkwad?
