A few years back, I started collecting the Hello Kitty Strats. I have ten of them, five pink and five black. They were dirt cheap and people laughed at me. I knew that they would be worth more some day. Currently, the prices have gone up substantially. Who's laughing now? Anyhow, I just finished building the only Hello Kitty Tele that I know of. The pickguard is handmade. Go ahead and tease, can't hurt my feelings... I've held the flashlight for my father.

My first build. The art is by Canadian artist John Lanthier. The style is called Hyperdoodle, so I named it the Hypercaster. The entire body is covered with the depiction of plants . It has Hotrails , a gorgeous flame maple neck and is wired up Bill Kirchen style. I have learned over the years that this is a love/hate guitar.

Good move. I sold the one I bought for my daughter about 8 years ago when she went off to college at her request. I think she got $150 for it with a gig bag and original box and it was like new.

For the longest time I had these three, Las Tres Hermanas:

But for our second guitarist's 10th anniversary with the band, I gifted him the beater frankentele, better known as Violet:

So now I just have the two Fenders.

Okay........ Custom Shop '55 in faded copper.......southpaw, of course. Changed the saddles to a set of Callaham compensated for most excellent intonation, otherwise stock. Of the half dozen of so I've owned over the years, this is by far the finest Telecaster I've had the pleasure to have known.....
