I prefer red backs, so I’d go with the Unburst Standard personally. I also don’t care for push-pull pots... so again, Standard. YMMV
I think this Honeybust in my above post from Wildwood looks kind of like it.I love the way Jimmy Page’s guitar looks. I realize it was originally heritage cherry sunburst, but it faded to this honeyburst looking color. I am wondering if a unburst or honeyburst is what I’m after? Thanks
The new Classic necks are just a tad smaller than the Standard 60's neck, not as Super Slim like they were in the past with a Slim Taper 60's neck on the very slim side.Standard for me - classic necks and me dont mix.

I had two classics from the early noughties one HCB and one in honeyburst - they really were stellar guitars.Get a circa 2001 Classic in Honeyburst for several reasons. You’ll pay less than a recent one, the Honeyburst color is way better on vintage Classics, and the wood grain is much better, Gibson was sourcing some amazing plain maple back then. The thin headstock shape and Kluson style tuners are also more aesthetically pleasing IMO.
I know, everyone will flame me for suggesting you buy a vintage Classic with “snot” inlays and ceramic pickups, but hey, you’re gonna change out the pickups anyway (everyone on this forum does), and the snot is not a big deal.
HAPPY HUNTING!
Snot inlay’s don’t bother me but I do get sick of seeing flames everywhere.Get a circa 2001 Classic in Honeyburst for several reasons.
