My move from 9s to 10s was nothing short of life changing for my tone. I'm thinking of moving up to 11-50s. I play 99% standard tuning on an epiphone les paul standard. Is it worth it?

Totally, strings are cheap. If you like the 10s, you might like the 11s better, only one way to find out. :thumb:

I like em. I found that I wanted to go to 12's after that, so I threw some 12's on my G-400 to strengthen up my fingers for the 11's, and for some nice dropped tunings

I use 11-48's on my primary guitars (97 Orville LP and 01 Gibson Classic) but have 12-52's on my 08 Gibson, I like the fatter tone and should have switched 25 years ago.

My finger stength has greatly improved, when I pick up a guitar with 9's on it now I feel like I am going to break the strings bending them so far and easily.

"Should I change to 11 gauges?"

I would say judging by your user name, why yes, yes you should.

I use GHS 10-52s... but I might go up, as I'm not a lead player, so I don't really need the light tops. We'll see...

I am a lead player, but since I am the only guitar player in the band I spend 90% of the time on rhythm and backing vocals.

I haven't noticed that using heavier strings has affected my playing ability just improved the tone and feel of the guitars.

Just try it, What can you lose??
There to thick for me, but i tried, i'm now playing 9's.
But i'm gonna try 8's, for those Kirwan/Green vibrato's.

The only way your gonna find out is to just try.
