I have been wondering about some of the body shapings at Les Pauls the whole time. Over the years I have seen some of them, which couldn't be visually distinguished from a Gibson. Recently you can do this very well with many models! Either the ToggleSwitch is slightly offset or the cutaway horn is "too" round, etc.
On the other hand I can't see any difference to Gibson in the current Custom 2020. The Elitist models are 100% Gibson Shape. The Peter Frampton LP Custom too. Many of the Les Pauls being made in CZ have an accurate body shape as I've seen.

I have a white 2001 Fugigen Epi custom. Built to Gibson spec, long tenon, abr-1, open book headstock etc. Only notable difference is urethane vs nitro finish. Very high end guitar.
