Sale is complete; the deed is done.

The buyer picked up the guitar and will be carrying it home to California. :applause:

I did.

Several, in fact.

You are correct. :D

.

I was going to get on your ass about selling the 12 string and then I see this
and I decided what's the use he's lost the will to live. Well I've been thinking
that since back when you sold the gorgeous PRS. I have to ask have you
suddenly taken up drinking or drugs.

Never played the PRS either. :dunno:

Waited over two years to get it, and never really warmed up to it, so I Ebayed it.

Got my admittedly-optimistic asking price, so I had no reservations whatsoever letting it go.
(Woulda been different if I had lost my ass at a pawn shop or something.)

The cash outta that one paid for the Bigsby/Black Beauty R7.

And the guns I sold were all .22 caliber that I never fired after I bought them.
Took up room in my safe.
Kids didn't need or want them, wife fired the two that were "hers" only a couple times.

Made money on them too.

WIN/WIN.

Glad it worked out. If you still had that complete stable (including the P90s) I'd say why not sell the EDS-1275? You had all the bases covered, still.

Oh well...someone's lucky! :)

Nah...
The 1275 stays.

I wanted one for years - for no other reason than they are cool as hell. :dude: :applause:

I never did figure out all of Stairway to Heaven or Hotel California but I like messing around with the guitar.

The SG-12 - eh, I would mess around with it a bit and then think "Yeah, that's enough of that..." and put it away.

Yeah, he seemed pretty happy.

He has a 40+ year old ES-335 12-string he bought brand new.
Big fan of electric twelves, messed around with a bunch of them.
Fenders, etc. ... did I hear him say Fernandes as well?

It turns out that he just bought one of the 2011 Gibson SG-12s and hated it.
Neck-heavy as hell due to the long 22-fret neck and then the headstock out beyond that!

Mail-ordered it from someplace; he was able to return it for a refund.

Then he saw this one.

It was meant to be, eh? :dunno:

Did you talk to Mike? Will you sell it thru him?

So you wanted it, you bought it, owned it and played it. Then you sold it for as much or more than you paid for it. Cool.

It's ok to want something and at the same time realize you don't have to have it. There were a lot of guitars I "had to have" and they were great, but after a while they just started to collect dust.

I have a modest collection of four under $1k electrics that I'm very happy with. They are all in the rotation and four is plenty to keep me interested.

I talked to Mike - he was more than willing to consign it for me.
It sold elsewhere, so it went to him for a quick check-up and then was off to its new home.

I did thank him profusely; after all, it was Mike who facilitated my original purchase of it.

Mike ROCKS! :dude:

You are possibly more correct than you know -

It was ten years old when I bought it - and it still had the plastic on it. :applause:

I have since played it enough to find out the fxcking bridge pickup is slightly microphonic... Grrrrrrr.........

(I fxcking HATE pickups without wax potting - this is yet one more example why.)

Oh well. Glad the sale worked out for you! At least it'll get played now. :)
