Hello Everyone:

I am usually up to date with the serial numbers on epiphone les pauls thanks to fellow members and thanks to info on the internet.

a friend of mine asked me to look up this number for him

1009201967

it's on a epiphone les paul standard, it's a legit epiphone, but the number, well I can't find info on it.

I still think the 1 is an I in the number, but I want to check

take care
George

No mystery there. The serial number indicates a guitar that was made in 2010 (10), Sept (09), at the DaeWon or Unsung China factory (20), with a production number of 1967.

Newer epiphones use ten digit serials.
Just break the number up into 3 pairs and then the last four.
EX: 10 09 20 1967
First - Year
Second - Month
Third - Factory code
Fourth - Production number that month

Hello Everyone:

thanks guys, I am sorry about it, I am not familiar with the newer digits, and when I looked online, there was no info, well at least where I was looking.

but here, well always a bunch of helpful folks.

the new system is similar to Gibby's post 80's system.

it's a lp standard, so $189.00 to me is a damned good deal for it.

I am more familiar with the earlier stuff serial number wise, but I see thanks to all of you on how the new system is.

nickel hardware, grover tuners, all it needs is good electronics and it's good to go.

take care and thanks
George
