I was kind of leary about going, because I haven't listened to his music in a while. It turned out to be a pretty good show. I always get the chills when I hear The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. He sounded good, and I always liked that he played a 12 string. I was kind of surprised by the amount of , or lack of people that were there. I guess there's not too many people into him anymore.

I found this, took me back a lot of years.

I was always wondering what happened to him. He used to be HUGE!! I love his music and wish he would come to Cincinnati. I would love to see his act! I would take two young guitar players I know that have never listened to his music...

In the early 70's in Montreal I did a bit of playing at university. Gordon Lightfoot and Leonard Cohen dropped in casually now and then to our get-togethers. Never saw Lightfoot when he wasn't drunk. Cohen was a great guy and would spend hours talking about anything. Lightfoot may have mumbled 10 words total all the times he was around.

He's been on tour every year since the late 60's. He took 2 years off in 2003-2004 due to illness. lightfoot.ca has tour info since that time and setlists. i'm pretty sure he's been in cincinnati many times over the years doing approximately 80 dates in north america every year. most of them in the u.s. he stopped drinking in 1981 or 1982.

I hope he comes around Boston way. I'd see him in a heartbeat. Love Gordon's music.
