Twenty five years ago I bought a factory stock '62 Ford Falcon Sport Futura to build into a crazy wild hotrod. Today I watched it towed away by its new owner. Had a blast building it. Now life is very different and there's no time (or inclination) to spend playing with cars at the level required to own this radical a car.

Farewell Falcon, i'm sure many knuckles were busted open on that bad boy. May the new owners get as much joy as you did.

i miss my old hot rods too.

I feel your pain Soul Tramp, but in a different way. My wife and I are looking for a new one to start on. Thank God for the interwebs, we scrolled thru over 1500 in the past week. Yours wasn't in the running since we are looking for a truck. I have to go look at a 69 f-100 4wd with a 429 in it later today.

Nice looking ride. I bet a lot of love went into that beast.

Find one with a set of Boss heads and you'll have the greatest motor to ever come out of Detroit.

Probably the best low cost way to build mega-power is to go with a 460. Would fit nicely in pickup.

Have fun with the search and be sure to post what you end up with. I find the planning and building to be more fun than the driving.

More pics of the Falcon? Maybe from when it was in its glory days, and not sitting under snow, waiting to be towed.
