would be cool to see Black Sabbath again, got the chance to see them on Ozzfest 99 I believe. Awesome show!

Been going to Ozzfests ever since and I can honestly say that Ozzy's live performance has been awful the last few years. Getting worse each time. And this is the LA show, the very first one on the tour, so it aint fatigue! One year, Zakk looked visibly pissed at Ozzy onstage cuz he was just horrible, had no voice left and they were only like 3 songs in. I didnt even stay for Ozzy's set the last time because I've just seen it get worse and worse over the years and that's not how I want to remember him.

Fingers crossed he'll be better on the Sabbath tour.

Tony Iommi Comments on Today's Posts:

I’m saddened that a Birmingham journalist whom I trusted has chosen this point in time to take a conversation we had back in June and make it sound like we spoke yesterday about a Sabbath reunion.

Thanks to the internet it's gone round the world as some sort of "official" statement on my part, absolute nonsense. I hope he's enjoyed his moment of glory, he won't have another at my expense.

to my old pals, Ozzy, Geezer and Bill, sorry about this, I should have known better.

All the best, Tony

They should do something again live or on CD.

All that means is that it wasn't meant to be revealed yet. It doesn't mean it won't happen. Hopefully :fingersx:

Thats kinda what i thought, Lets hope :thumb:

I think Iommi's statement is suggesting that he's pissed that it's been unveiled in this manner, rather than the band doing a press release.

He's said that the first article would have died if the Birmingham Mail hadn't published the interview to support it. Iommi never denied that they were getting back together he just said that he was pissed at the journalist and that it wasn't an official announcement.

I reckon it's going ahead, he's seen how much support it'll receive now, everyone wants it and WhoCares isn't doing anything now that Jon Lord's got cancer.

Hopefully they play again..
Sad about Jon Lord. I was at school with his daughter (Sara) who I was somewhat friendly with for a while.
Sat next to Jon at a school play! I honestly hope he beats Cancer.

Sharon will throw a wrench in the whole project. She'll want too much control.

My first time seeing the Ozzman was at a club. I remember going to it alone because my bud backed out. Ticket was $75, price I remember finding ridiculous, even from a scalper.
Geezer Butler was playing bass, Vinnie Appice on drums and some guy on guitar. And all songs on the bill were Sabbath tunes. I was really blown away by this. I liked the Randy Rhodes albums, but didn't really dig Ozzy after that. I spend the entire show about 30 ft. from the man. Ozzy was amazing, energetic through the whole show, whipping the audience into a frenzy.

Interestingly, I saw him again in Toronto the following summer at the end of the tour at the Molson Amphitheater and it was one of the worst shows I ever saw. Ozzy was spent, the band lifeless and my ripped-off.

Heaven and Hell (a few summers ago) were simply fantastic! Both Tony and Geezer played as tight as I had ever heard them and Dio was perfect. They even looked classy (this became more evident as Judas Priest took the stage in spandex and Depends)

I hate to say it, but if anybody could screw this up it's Ozzy.
