DVR'd it off of VH1Classic last week, and I gotta say I'm still impressed with Rush thirty-some-odd years later. Very tight as a band, and all are still superb individual performers. Geddy's voice is aging, so he doesn't quite do the album vocals, but he's rarely off. I was never an Alex Lifeson fanboy, but I have to say he's improved over the past few years - compared to the (I think) Brazil concert vid from a few years back. He seems much more confident in his playing this time around. Or maybe playing a Les Paul with your name on it does that for a guy, lol, I dunno. Anyhow, if you haven't seen it, I'd recommend it. Red Barchetta rocks. Just rocks. It's VH1, so it'll play a hundred more times this month. The scripted film clips are a hoot, too...

I bought the DVD and CD the other day. Filmed here in Cleveland. I couldn't go to the show, so I couldn't wait for the DVD to be released. It rocks. Granted, geddy can't hit the stuff from 20 years ago, but they still sound great. I was never really a huge Alex fan, until I bought All The World's a Stage. He rocks from beginning to end. The whole CD is bare bones rock n roll. All killer, no filler.

I have seen Rush countless limes since 1980, at least once per tour since Moving Pictures (except Signals and Hold Your Fire), I saw the time machine opening night in NM, and again damn new a year later in Concord CA.

All I can say is they have never sounded better live as far as I'm concerned. I don't recall ever seeing them play with the same energy and intensity as they did on this last tour.

I totally agree with you, either Alex has been wood-shedding or those Les Paul's he's playing are bringing him magical powers.

Easily one of the greatest bands of all time, right up there with Zep, Stones, Beatles, etc.
