I just picked up a 2010 Traditional Les Paul.

Was going to buy an Ace Frehley Budokan on Reverb, but caught the seller in a lie, so I decided to make my own.

My question is, where can I get a template for the middle pick up? Does anyone manufacture these?

Has anyone ever done this to their guitars, if so, please post pics of the process, and end results.

Thanks so much

Picture on the left is a photoshop of the one on the right as to what it will look like when finished

I did one accidentally on purpose. Not sure exactly what happend, but more than likely a router slip on my part. I just used my single p'up template. You can find those all over in acrylic. Then, you can use that to make any variation you want; single, double, triple...P90 w/bucker, Tele p'up w/bucker, etc. etc.

Not to one I bought, but one I built. Lost all my Photobucket pics or I would've shared.

If reply is directed to me YES. Yet to be finished, The cheap veneer of the kit split while wet sanding so I got bummed out and has been set it aside. I will finish it up soon. FYI it is a piece of cake.

That looks pretty sweet. Is that a Chibson though?

Great job on routing.

just another option... make it yourself. buy some 1x4 pine. cut in half. use chopsaw to cut two pieces at sm time and the width of your pickup. use all four pieces to build a square the size of your pickup using double sided tape to hold to mdf. router it out. then repeat the process for the little squares for feat.
admittedly much easier to buy templates but much more fun to just make them imo.
