First of all, I dont think its a good learning tool to learn how to play. But i find it very amusing. And makes me practice more

Now...

For those that play Rocksmith

What Epiphone Guitar do you use?

Any problems you encounter combo guitar/game?

me:

What Epiphone Guitar do you use?

- Fender Kingman SCE
- Epiphone Les paul Prophecy Custom Plus EX

Any problems you encounter combo guitar/game?

Kingman: works Fine. Even when its just a accoustic guitar

Epiphone: Depending on what song my guitar produces way to much sound, Causing high volume tones dont register. Sometimes The guitar sounds dont match up with the song...

Mine came with a Les Paul Jr.
Do a new sound check when you switch guitars.
The Epi pickup are much stronger.

I've played it with both my Elitist SG and Gold Top without any problems at all.

Funny you should mention this because I just pulled out the rocksmith game a few days ago and knocked the dust off.

I have used several of my EPI's with no problems and they are

Bought it to "learn" new songs... Game wasn't as good as I expected it to be. A bit disappointed...

I played through my Tribute Plus. the game itself, for me, has big latence problem. When you play a string, the sound through the game comes in like a couple of "milliseconds" later, which is not that good.

Anyway, amusing game, but not that cool IMO.

Latency has to do with the sound processing of your TV set. Turn of any sound processing on your TV. It may have a video game setting in the sound options.

I use almost everything I have (see signature), depending on my mood. The only issue I've had really is that on the PC it occasionally decides to stop registering input at the start of a song in a performance. I have to unplug the cable and replug it in (to the PC) before it works again.

In regards to the latency, I had to get an AV adapter for my XBOX to run the audio out with RCA cable while the video goes through my AV setup via HDMI. That pretty much solved any latency for me.

For those that tried it when it first came out and were disappointed you may want to get ti out again and run all the updates. It now support playing BASS and also has something called RIFF Repeater which lets you break down sections of the song and repeat until mastered.

I don't think it good for teaching you how to play but for me if has allowed me to really break down some songs and play along with a killer jam track.

My daughter plays it with one of those $99 Epi SG's.
