The UBI developers held a chat over on reddit.com (the link was posted in this thread several pages back) and said their number one priority for a fix was the five lives in the riff tool, though they didn't say how long it would take to implement.

Thanks for that info! I'll check the link out. Must of missed that post.

I still think the sensitivity is higher on some songs and games. Some I get credit, for wrong and missed notes. Others, I can't hit the one dang note they show me.

The Big Swing Baseball game sucks. It will go good sometimes, but other times, it will not recognize the note. The game keeps recommending I play it, so maybe it thinks I need some help. I've tried a light touch, and that seems to help, but not always.

I did Slither, Go With the Flow, and Song2, plus a couple of more, in a single set tonight. Those first three songs, are a work out. I guess the fact, that I learned them, leveled them, and then played the event all in a couple of hours, didn't help. I think I wore out a pick, just on that set. :laugh2:

The game is simply awesome. It taught me the entire song slither in like 3 hours. Now thats a video game worth buying :thumb:
The only complaint I have is you can't run the game HDMI without there being ridiculous audio lag... but that's an easy fix by just switch back to standard cables. :thumb: to rocksmith!

I'd also like to chime now that it came. Within the first 2 hours of plugging it in I couldn't even be bothered to answer a phone call from my own family members. I've been totally enthralled by it. While I would agree it's no substitute for a teacher, or some other way to learn theory etc, I would say that Ubisoft developed an amazing practice tool that I expect to spend hours a day on for the next several months.

This is coming from someone who first turned his nose up at the idea, then decided "eh whatever, i got a gift card for christmas lets give it a shot"

I think the HDMI issue is definitely a "results may vary" thing which I'm sure made it very hard for the Rocksmith people to troubleshoot and or come up with a solution for. I have two different Xbox's hooked up to two different TV's by two different methods, one HDMI and one through old school HD cables. The HDMI Xbox which should be a nightmare has 0.0 lag and the XBOX that has the old school hookup, which should theoretically work perfect has a very very tiny amount of lag. :hmm:

The HDMI lag is dependent on how good the D/A converter is on the TV you are using. We're getting great results with the HDMI connection from a PS3 to a Sony TV using a lag correction of 65.

There are lots of other reasons to be annoyed with my PS3 and Sony Bravia, but HDMI lag isn't one of them.

Two minutes with a Dremel and a cutoff wheel made quick work of the stock Xbox connector. Now I can plug in both the Xbox connector and HDMI cable.

My TV has a "PC Audio In" for use with the #1 HDMI port. RCA Red/White female to 3.5mm stereo male adapter then gives me HDMI video and RCA audio. Completely eliminated what little lag there was.

I wanted/needed the HDMI video because I also use the XBOX for Netflix and ESPN3, and didn't want to keep switching cables for a better picture quality.

The lag sucks and the adjustment seems to just speed the song up!!

Dang! I feel like such a fracking worthless Southern guitarist. I cannot play Sweet Home Alabama! :wow:

No matter how I try, I can't hit the right notes or at the right time.

Where do I turn in my guitar? :(

:laugh2:

Got this for Christmas - very impressed so far. I have one question though. Is there a way to have multiple (or at least 2) user profiles? My son plays right handed and is just starting out, so I'd like to have another profile for him. Any ideas?

My friend got it for Xbox. Played a couple songs on it last night, pretty cool.

Just create another PSN Name so he can have his account and you'll have yours:thumb:

Ah, that makes sense - thanks! Been so long since I set up the console I forgot that was an option. I just assumed it would require a separate profile in the game. Can't wait to try this. My Son will be very pleased, and take over the game... Wait... Uh oh... :laugh2::laugh2::laugh2:
