Quick question for those of you who have this game...can you use the cable that the game came with for recording on your computer? I'm currently interested in taking online guitar classes and if I can take classes while using the chord, I'll have an excellent selling point for the wife when I tell her that I can have both video game and educational value when purchasing this game.![]()
The 1/4"-to-USB cord worked right out-of-the-box on my Mac; no setup required. I plugged it in and it showed up as one of the input sources in Amplitude, Logic, GarageBand, etc.
I don't have a Windows box at home to test with, but I think it should be pretty much the same experience there. Worst case, you might have to track down a driver to download.
FWIW, one cord will come with the game, and you can buy extras for $29. Usually, any of the decent audio-to-USB interfaces are more expensive than that, but this seems to work pretty well for the money. Love the breakaway plug so you don't accidentally send your game console or computer crashing to the floor.
