You can play the wrong note entirely, with an artificial harmonic, it and totally confuse the game if you want. :fingersx:

If you need a nudge over the edge to get a console, there is a MLP theme for the PS3. ...and I don't mean My Les Paul.
Just for you, bertzie!

If I had the money it costs to buy a PS3, I'd upgrade my computer. Plus, my Pony wallpaper is better than that one anyways.

I don't get the Pony stuff, but alas ..

I'm currently listening to a 17:00 min. +/- Zeppelin jam off of BBC Sessions disc 2 .. so when DLC becomes available, I HOPE there are several Zeppelin (and Hendrix) songs available.

The world of Ponies is vast and wide. There's almost certainly a pony everyone can relate to.

I'd rather not have that. Then it's going to end up like the internet where 95% of tabs are wrong.

Let the company release new songs in the DLC's. Hopefully it's hundreds and hundreds of songs.
I just created an account on this forum to tell you how ignorant I believe your comment to be.

There are so many subgenres or individual songs, unknown but brilliant music that would never get a DLC unless it's through a community.

In my case it goes so far that I will only buy this game (and a guitar, because I don't have the dedication to learn it normally) if I'll be able to play songs I actually like... which won't be the 50 or so songs on the original game, nor any of the DLC songs (probably). I'm not fortunate enough to have such common musical tastes.

I want to be able to play songs of Animals as Leaders, Cloudkicker, worC, Tesseract, Chimp Spanner, The Algorithm and so many more Bands that just aren't known well enough to gain a spot on the game or DLC, even though they would deserve it. Sadly, I don't see that happening.
That way you wouldn't hit a "skill dead end" either, where you could play everything perfectly, because some of the songs would just be insane to play (e.g. Cafo - Animals as Leaders) and in the end you would always find another song to play and learn.

Knowing some of those musicians I'm sure they would even put their stuff up on their own given the opportunity. So that makes the tab thing to a mostly moot point, not to mention that being able to play something, even if it's slightly wrong, is better than playing nothing.

Shootin' for the stars, huh? You don't play, yet you'd like to be able to have a game which features a virtuoso player, who happens to wield an 8-string?

It would be nice if it could actually be done both ways. People could choose to use which ever.

Creating an account here just to call someone ignorant, and you dont even have a guitar to play the game with seems like not the best way to get a welcome here and pointless at that. You could state your opinion without calling someone else who actually does play a guitar ignorant. That's ridiculous.

Never heard of any of them are they by chance screamo/emo bands if so that could be why. They have some interesting band names though.

If you do not have the dedication then do yourself a favour and stick to air guitar.

I had played so much thursday through saturday I couldnt play yesterday. I probably put in about 36hrs total of guitar practice, thats probably about 1 months worth of me normally playing, and having no real focus on my playing.

So do you think it's helps you improve your playing?

I dont know how it couldnt. You are having an effective practice y the numbers without it feeling like its by the numbers.

If you get sick of working on a song from their catalog work on the challenges or the arcade stuff.

Well, I've been playing this game for almost a week now, yet here I am sitting at my desk job, not sleeping in a tour bus after playing a stadium event.

Durn vidiya game must be busted.

Really, I'm having tons of fun with it! It's real cool and the arcade section can get quite challenging so ya, it has to improve your skills.

I find the scale game good especially to drive home where you are on the neck without looking..It is also frustrating as all hell.
