Anyone know about DLC for this? Stuck at work now but I want to get back to this quick....this game has re-lit the fire for me.

Nothing on the dlc front as of yet. There was a preorder dlc with freebird and some other song, thats it for now.

I would like to have "cliffs of dover" "sultans of swing" "back n black" Any of the hard rock from gh 1 or 2 would be good. Rage would be awesome:dude: GNR like night train or paradise city

I still havent totally committed the colors to memory at least for my fingers yet.

I'm running a few drills here at work to try to make this second nature like string names such as D.

Hopefully this works ! I'll start at a random string in my head and name it's color bwhahaa

That's not true. It's typically a different octave..sure it will still be correct..but it won't sound the same as the original

Either way, I think saying "5th fret D string" is easier than saying "5th fret blue string". That's our complaint.

Let me rephrase that then.

The right note in the right octave will score correctly regardless of where it's played on the neck.

Better?

Let's just be honest here, we want to see a library of 100,000 songs available by purchase that will also work with the next version of the game

Yes, but I'd still say it's a bad habit to get into because positioning is very important. If it tells you to play the E note on the 7th fret A string, that's most likely because the notes around it are on the G string and B string 7th fret area. (that's just a small example)

Bertzie always seems compelled to do his own thing :laugh2:

I would rather master the song how they show it, then adjust if I find a better way in jamming with others. I havent committed a single song to memory yet and almost feel intimidated to play without the tab on any of them.

Kind of weird because normally if Im into a song I will essentially nail it by ear in short order and just know it, this method is probably more accurate but it all seems a bit more challenging to lock in....I admit I have only been 6 hours and have played about 20 songs:laugh2: which is probably 19 songs more than I would take in on my own in a day

What string you play the note on is irrelevant as long as you play the right note.

...and the right octave. Ya, I got that.

I listened to all the songs last night. I think I found some new groups to check out material by. This game is full of win.

I hope this game just kills it and they pump out material nonstop. At the same token its going to feel kind poserish to be jamming songs from rocksmith live
