I'm drooling like a drummer here. Someone push me over the edge before I leave at 5:30 and I'll pick it up.

How hard is hard/expert/whatever? Does the game present a challenge to advanced players? Does it track complex chords and fast solos well?

All the demos I've seen so far are extremely simple playing.

Buy it! Give into the impulses of capitalism! :thumb:

From the song list, if you look at them in depth, all but some are very simple songs.

I have not yet got to test the tracking of fast solo's, but the SOUND is right if you're just playing the guitar in the main menu where you're able to just screw around. The tracking is the question, but the sound is there.

That being said, if you know you played it right, just ignore the score. If there ARE any flaws in tracking, I'm sure it will be patched or fixed in later versions of the game.

No solid answer for you yet bud.

Well, I have good sound already - real amps! lol

Hoping for a game-type training tool that's a challenge for an advanced player and fun as well!

btw- thanks for the solid review man. Real cool of you!

I'm just annoyed that Amazon couldn't have already shipped my game when I preordered it in September.

If you're an advanced player looking to have a few brews, relax, play some easy songs and learn some new ones, you won't be disappointed. This thing started adding complications quickly as I was hitting 100% accuracy.

That is weak as hell. WTF Amazon?

That's good enough for my intentions, yes. :thumb:

Would you just go to the store and try to get a copy or would you all wait on Amazon? Estimated arrival is October 25th-19th. (This was the free shipping option.)

Thanks for the quick feedback Mad Cow. Possibly there is a setting in a menu where all notes can be set to be heard at the same volume level. Something like that would most likely be a deal breaker for me. I wouldn't care anything about another Rock Band / GH game where the guitar is nothing but a larger, heavier controller.

Another one...is there possibly a higher difficulty level where you can completely turn off the tab / visual aids and still play along? Maybe the game providing you a key or chords, etc.?

That depends on your patience.

The game has the ability to turn the tabs off and still give you a score at the end. =]

As far as the option to turn up the volume of notes, just give me a few hours. I get out of work in 3 hours on the dot and will update you an hour after that.

There's plenty of stores near me showing stock. Unless Amazon has a better price, I'll just grab it on the way home.

E Standard and Drop D only from what I understand.

They will be releasing paid DLC's in the future which offer different tunings and I believe bass guitar.

Sweet.

IMO, there's no need for bassists to ever change from standard tuning (unless they realllllllllllllllllly need that Eb on the low end).

I meant E standard for guitar, not bass. I don't believe bass is supported in v1 but I have not tried it myself, so don't mark my words.

Oh, ok. It'd be great if I could practice both, but guitar is a priority.
