Lee Kerslake, who played drums with Uriah Heep, Ozzy Osbourne and others, died after a battle with cancer aged 73 in September 2020.

Yup, Lee was a powerhouse. Saw him in Heep a few times. He'd been in poor health for a while, sadly. What a monster drummer.

He'd been sick for quite some time... last December he remarked that 5 years previously, the doctors had given him 4 years to live, and added, "...and so that gives you an idea."

However, in the same interview of last December, LK said that he'd been suffering from prostate cancer, but that it had metastasized and he'd developed a case of bone cancer that was likely to do him in. He said that the doctors gave him 8 months to live.

Lee made it for 10

He was great with Blizzard of Oz, but I still remember when he debuted with Uriah Heep... he just kind of *exploded* onto the scene and into the forefront of everyone's consciousness.

His passing reminded me that Sharon had the bass and drums re-recorded on those first two solo albums. Damn that woman.

She is evil. Sarzo and Aldridge are both really good, but Kerslake and Daisley had the right vibe, and that band sounded killer.

Gotta agree. But I also believe there'd be no Ozzy at all if not for her.

Blizzard still stands as the best album he ever did and his band was the reason why.

This just in: SHARON!!! just replaced his body with that of Mike Bordin.


.Admitting that she is a "mean bitch," Sharon said the tracks were re-recorded with new players "just to teach [Bob] a lesson.

Now that’s a big FU to the fans like me who loved those albums.

BTW Demons and Wizards is a fantastic album.
