Watched him as a kid in Houston when he played for the Astros. I was a 2nd baseman in little league, so I was a fan on my team's second baseman. RIP Joe.

Wow. What a crappy year.

I mean, when I first became a baseball fan I realized that guys like Frank Robinson and Harmon Killebrew and Hank Aaron were old. But Morgan was young! He was immortal, like me!

My dad was a lifelong Reds fan. I remember him listening to Marty and Joe call the games on a little black GE pocket transistor radio. Alll those 1970's "big red machine" players were household names when I was a kid, Joe Morgan for sure. RIP.

I grew up in Fairfield....just a little North of Cincy.

My first MLB game was the Big Red Machine against the Pirates in '75.
What a great time and place for a kid to be a baseball fan.

Joe Morgan was a class act and a true gentleman on top of being the greatest 2cd baseman ever.

RIP #8
