Nice but is that price really......................219,000 + Euros? Ouch. That will sit around for a while I would think.

Nice burst, but delusional at that price, it's 2014 not 2007, those days are long gone & not likely to return anytime soon

I'm sure they're open to offers. He probably needs the money for some reason and who knows how much he'd really take?

Is this the same guitar that John Squire (Stone Roses) owned/used before Ritchie Sambora? Looks remarkably similar. A cool history for sure, sharpie or no sharpie.

Yes! One of the greatest bursts of all time now ruined forever! This burst is one of the first that really got me into Les Pauls when it was in John Squires hands. First thing I would do is take a belt sander to the back of the headstock, but the memory of that signature being there may never fade. I wish I could unsee it :(

The last time that I hung with Joe Bonamassa, he whipped out his iPhone and showed me a pic of Richie's signature on the back of the headstock of this guitar.

It sent me into a massive rant about the ego it took to deface this Burst.

Joe's only response was: "That's why I would NEVER sign a vintage instrument."

Good luck to the brokers on this one!

My sentiments exactly. I can't believe that he signed the back of the headstock. I pray that it wipes off.

You guys maybe making a big deal out of nothing.

Here is the conversion I bought last summer that came with Les Pauls signature on the face of the guitar.

:laugh2:............2 strikes James. 1st a conversion & 2nd you wiped Les's signature off. :D

One more & you'rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeee out! :naughty:

Seriously though, it is easy to get off if you know what solvents to use that will not damage the Nitro but will take the Sharpie / Texta off.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw it but it was more fun to post Beaker's shocked face. :laugh2: :laugh2:

Cheers, Rudi
