From the Edmund Fitzgerald thread:

[Gordon Lightfoot] is 76..

Ringo 75
Macca 73
Keef 71
Watts 74
Jagger 72

Got me thinking about who else is "up there" (or should I say, "well-seasoned"?) and still making it happen onstage. For the sake of this thread, let's keep it to people aged 65+

(A not-entirely arbitrary number; apologies to anyone here over 65, no offense intended)

Leo Kottke is 70
Emmylou Harris is 68
Kenny Rogers is 77
Steve Miller is 72 (!)

Keep 'em coming...

If you're a McCartney, richards, or simon, you can't quit, it's all they know how to do.
But if you are ugly( keef) you need to go.
I am sick of them all really. I like what i do, and musucal memories, but you can't fix ugly...

I think Dave Gilmore is in that OAP bracket. I'd go see him live.

I tip my hat to musicians who work the stage into their Senior Years. They don't just sit around and talk about the good old days, they are still living the dream (applause!).

ZZ Top, Alice Cooper, Jeff Beck, Willie Nelson and ACDC come to mind.

In my book their is one guy who is perpetually young - Brian Setzer. He performs and creats new music like he is still 25. Then you have Glenn Campbell... a guy who toured when others wouldn't have dared. Pure courage Glenn!!

It's what sells. Young kids into new metal aren't buying mags, they're on the Internet.

I wouldn't buy it either, it's a sh*tty magazine that hasn't changed in 30 years. :laugh2:

I take the free subscription though. :thumb:

Got a 2016 Epiphone calendar with this months. Score! :dude:
