Look at a pic of a real LP Custom (sid-by-side), and the signs should become VERY obvious.

Wait so if you dont have a COA, you can call Gibson and they'll send you one? Thats interesting because I bought my LP Custom back in 2005 from a Guitar store(through ebay) and it didnt come with the case candy or COA. If I can go through Gibson to get one I'll definitely do that.

As far as sending them the guitar, screw that. But as far as I know I am the original purchaser because I bought it new through a guitar shop and it was in perfect condition. But with no case candy or COA, who knows? *shrug*
