Hey everyone,

I recently bought a 1978 Gibson Les Paul Standard that came with some older Schaller tuners that are obviously not the original tuners (unfortunately whoever picked those tuners and installed them didn't think it would be a bad idea to add an extra hole into the headstock).

Anyway, I'm not a huge fan of these style tuners (see picture), so I bought some Gibson golden machine heads with the pearloid buttons on them. I've never replaced machineheads before, but I imagine it shouldn't be too difficult, right? Will the leftover hole be a problem at all? Just a cosmetic thing? Thanks in advance for the info,

Anthony

just put a toothpick in tha hole and sand it down very gently... it's a light colored wood there so you wont see the touch up so much
