My favorite cartoons: Johnny Quest, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Mighty Mouse, Tom & Jerry, Felix the Cat, Heckle and Jeckle, Bugs Bunny and Daffy.

My favorite TV programs: Our Gang (had the hots for Donna), The Three Stooges, Perry Mason, Dragnet, The Monkees, Andy Griffith, Palladin - Have Gun Will Travel, The Rifleman, Father Knows Best, Leave It To Beaver, Our Miss Brooks, etc.

There were many more. We did not have a color TV until 1968.

I'm not sure I get the social statement, even seeing it in today's more sensitive times (Spanky was a kid afterall). Those were definitely more innocent times though.
