Red les paul custom

Hey guys.
So a friend of mine just bought a epi les paul custom off ebay.
It was advertised as a red les paul custom, and the pictures seemed to clarify this but I have been doing some research and can't find any proof that Epiphone ever made customs in red.
I did do a serial number check and it said it was made in china.. but I know those can be faked.
So I guess what I'm asking is if you guys think it might be a fake? Or if someone knows if this guitar actually exists.

They've been made in a whole lot of colours. The red ones are around. Post pictures of the guitar in the fake epiphone thread to get your answer.

They made them. I have one...Here it a photo of mine. Along with a video of me playing it.

Although it's not really a "Custom"...It's sort of a standard/custom mix.

I never seen Musicians Friend sell a red Standard. Sorry.

I think it's a few years old. They were out of stock on them forever. One day I was browsing around online and saw that their site said they were in stock...surely thinking that was a mistake I called them and they said somehow they had ONE...So I bought it.

Epiphone made them in red, but they discontinued the color in late '07. I've got one and love it.
