Red Dead Redemption 2

Anyone else psyched for this game?
I've been waiting years for this!
Red Dead Redemption was one of the few games I attained 100% completion.
I preordered the Ultimate Edition, now I've just got to wait until 10pm MST tomorrow - probably won't really get a start on it until Friday night though. Happy trails!

I cashed in my 1+ year old pre pay in a few weeks ago for the new AC instead. I'm still psyched for RDR2, but after waiting this long I can just wait a bit longer and get it cheaper either around christmas or maybe even early next year if I can wait that long.

I'm optimistic about the game, but I don't really care to much about or even for some of the new dynamics I'me been reading about. Dude growing a beard is somewhat cool, but I'm probably going to look like a crazed miner considering I doubt I take the time to shave except maybe for the obligatory 'learn to shave mission'.

Likewise the idea of having to beat feat to a trader before the meat from my hunt spoils... I guess thats more realistic but it sounds like a PITA to me, I also hear we get to chop wood for the campfire, #cantwait.

Now with all my negativity aside, RDRevolver and RDRedemption were both great and pretty different games all in. If they make a good story and expand the playable world a bit I can see this being nothing short of awesome, I just hope some of the new dynamics they've been so proud of in the press releases are largely optional lol.

I haven’t been this excited for a game since Mass Effect 3 came out, let’s hope this turns out better than that disappointment did.

While I might play it down the road, I'm not super excited about it. I never even finished the 1st one. I have 4-5 games to beat first before I try this one, plus about a quarter of Spiderman left. I wish there were cars instead of horses.

The first of a three part dlc storyline was released for Spider-Man yesterday.
If I remember correctly, you bought the preorder with the dlc included, so you probably already paid for it.

Really? Whats dlc? I'm not sure. I just got to the part where the jails were released and I beat the Electric Guy and Scorpion guy.

I'm pumped. I'm waiting until Friday for a physical copy though. I'm old school that way. I asked my wife to take the kid to grandma's that day and give me some nerd time.

The dlc is called The City That Never Sleeps, or something along those lines.
It’s going to be released in 3 parts, I think one per month.
The first part is called The Heist, I don’t know much about it because I haven’t played it yet myself, but I know it’s centred around Black Cat.

I bought the preorder with the dlc, but when I checked it quickly yesterday to see if it automatically downloaded, it hadn’t.
I had to go into the pause menu with the map and stuff, click over to dlc, and then click on The Heist, which actually took me to the ps store where I was able to download it for free.

Sounds like Rockstar is really trying to focus on immersion. A lot of the features are focused on experiencing the game as Arthur Morgan. Having to shave and bath and not wear clothes covered in blood. Some people might find those features boring and just want to shoot stuff and see splosions. I think it was one of my favorite aspects of The Witcher 3 that Geralt dynamically changed as you played. Your hair and beard grew. Cool feature that helps immersion.

The only thing I played was taking pictures of stupid dolls? So if thats part of the regular game then no. But I thought it was labeled "The Heist". I thought I saw that referenced but I may have seen it yesterday flash up while I was playing.

Reviews are pouring in and they're overwhelmingly positive. I've seen tons of leaked gameplay footage and it makes my dick hard.
