Aside from scoring a deal on something second hand, what's decent out there at/around $100? I have a good older MIJ LP with a pretty flimsy hardcase and another coming without a case. Would be cool to order a couple that are halfway decent if the price is right, but don't really want to throw $200 cases at $7-900 guitars, you know?

Gator has one for about $90... Epiphone sells a hard case for $119 I believe..

Musicians Gear sells one even cheaper but in my experience they don’t fit tight around the guitar. It allows the guitar to shift inside of it.

I was looking at those Douglas ones and they really didn't look half bad, especially for the price.

Is it actual tweed or printed vinyl?
feels like tweed....looks like tweed
but it’s not actual tweed...

good news is it won’t fray and u can’t tell the difference...at least I can’t on first glance

but for a $100 it’s kinda cool looking...
douglas makes black and brown too...but I was curious about the tweed...
and I figured it would feel like a plastic picnic table cloth, it actually is kinda awesome

I remember some of the fake tweed tolex on import stuff in the '80s-'90s that was just laughable. I couldn't tell for sure from the photos, which is at least credit to it being better than that

I have two of the Douglas "tweed" SG cases. I think they are probably one of the best aftermarket SG cases you can buy, but it's not tweed, it's tolex. However, that does make it easy to wipe down and keep clean. I did have to adjust the neck rests in both because they just slap 'em in there in the factory and they are never in the right place, but ok, that takes me just a few minutes to cut the bottoms and put them where they belong.

However, given that, I buy the Allen Eden cases for my singlecuts.

I have a couple of the Gator cases with the pink interior and the shroud.
They are very well made and look like they are out of the 50’s-60’s.
Around $129, but have found them cheaper.
