Is there an online database of known counterfeit serial numbers?
I'm not aware of one, but that number comes up so often, even in here, that it's laughable.

Sad, that I have it memorized.. but I'm probably not the only one.

I'll bet @Who does too...

That sticker on the control cavity. Although it was a real Gibson logo I often associate it more with fakes made about 10 or so years back to the point that that logo is more of an indicator of a fake guitar than a real one.
