I go no tree. No decorations. I don't have kids so it's pointless to put up and take down. I don't even have and ornaments or decor. No bah humbug, just no reason

I was always a real tree type. Last year we got a fake tree. I'm OK with it. Back in the early 1960's my dad planted a bunch of spruce and pine trees on the farm when my siblings and I were young. By the late 60's early 70's the trees got big enough so we started to cut one for Christmas. Some years the snow came early and we'd have to haul it back with the snowmobile. He sold some as well and some were stolen. Not sure how someone can enjoy a stolen Christmas tree... I've cut them off of my property in recent years and for several years bought a permit (used to be $3/tree for residents) to cut them off of county forest land in Northern Wisconsin. For that real tree smell I have plenty of pines, spruces and fir trees on my property that I could cut a few branches from to bring in.
Just bought a new fake tree... pre-lit with bulbs that can change from all white to multi-color. Love it! I hate stringing lights on a tree and hate taking them off after Christmas. This way, I just put it together, let the kids hang ornaments, and we're done. Looks awesome. Got a Yankee candle that makes the whole place smell like a real tree, and the illusion is complete.
