So I was playing my Bugera today, like every day, and I just looked at the metal covers over the pre amp tubes. I thought "Huh... What is the point?" I can see a point on a combo amp when the tubes are exposed so you do not hit them and destroy them, but on a head like my 333XL (Well protected inside of there) What is the point? Thanks in advance!

The covers are shields to prevent unwanted interferrence from outside sources. If you run the amp without them you can possibly experience a number of undesirable side effects. Generally the tubes will stay in the sockets by themselves, but the springs can help.

WOW did not know that. Im for sure not a "LOLcat". I hate that stuff. I just put the "I" Because it said the name has already been taken, but oddly enough it says the LesPaul+SG=Win account was made at the same time as mine.... God im confused
