There has always been a push and pull between their message and the money/what it takes to reach people. They will talk openly about that conflict, especially Zach. It's also partly why they broke up in 2000.
Did he unburden himself from that bank account.

I saw them at Lollapalooza 2008. That was the most human energy I have ever felt at a show. We were probably 40 yards from the stage and were getting pushed around. They had to stop the show 3 times and plead the audience to move backwards, because people were getting crushed in front. Definitely a show I'll never forget.

I loved their riffs, lyrical style and full force
energy. But I don’t care for hearing views on the state of the world from
musicians and the Hollywood type. Just entertain me. That’s all i’m paying for.

Did they ever get around to writing a second vocal line or do they still just put the same one in every song?

I really liked some of their stuff back when I was naive. Great rockin' riffs and that anger - wow.

In later years I bought their album....and noticed they're owned by Sony.

If the matrix is real, it's run by Sony.

like a few have said, i also liked them when i was in high school, but nowadays not so much.

Tom Morello is the most experimental lead player most of us will ever hear on electric guitar methinks. His riffs and solos with RATM are my preference but his work on Audioslave was more musical.
