R8 serial number help

I have r8 that I get second hand
Can't tell what year is it
The number is
8 0032

Too many numbers for Historic Serial number.

It should be 808042..... that would be impossible for 8000 R8s for any given year.

Or it should read 8 8042..... the space between the first two digits if the number is under 1000.
A 1000 or more the space is used for the expanded numbers.

That is too many numbers in your serial to be an R8

Pics of the guitar would be helpful to determine if it is a Custom Shop model or even a legit Gibson.

As stated earlier the serial number has incorrect number of digits with a space.

What type of tuner bushings?
Pressed in or hex bolt?

What does the font on “MODEL” on the face of the headstock look like?

So far the pics you have shown are clearly an R8..... but without a pic of the actual serial number in question we can't say if it's some kind of factory anomaly or what..... or even provide a date from that number.

Call Gibson and ask them using that serial number.

כפי שצוין קודם לכן למספר הסידורי יש מספר שגוי של ספרות עם רווח.

איזה סוג של תותבי טיונר?
לחוץ פנימה או בורג משושה?

איך נראה הגופן ב-"MODEL" על פני ה-headstock?

עד כה התמונות שהצגת הן בבירור R8..... אבל בלי תמונה של המספר הסידורי האמיתי המדובר לא נוכל לומר אם זו איזושהי חריגה במפעל או מה..... או אפילו לספק תאריך ממספר זה.

התקשר לגיבסון ושאל אותם באמצעות המספר הסידורי הזה.

^^^ unfortunately you didn't edit this post like the original post (post number 6).... clearly you posted the number as

8 008042

nothing like the photo.... where did you get the extra zeros and the 8 and 4 from?

Never the less that pic is from a 2000 2010 or 2020,.... the case is older than a 2020.... without other details i will assume it's a 2000 or 2010..... the sharp inlays i would say 2010.
