R8 or R9?

They all can vary.
My old R8 2010 had a big neck, about .940 with big shoulders, D shape, & weighed 9.8 lbs.
My new R8, also a 2010, is .912 @ 1st fret, has a much smaller c shape, & weighs exactly 8.8.
Both are plaintops.

Resale? Personally I prefer a slight flame on an R8. Looks more authentic IMHO. Don't think I'm alone on this one. Btw, these were actually sold by Gibson as "plain tops" back in 2013-2014. Some have mineral steaks which add character. Good time (summer ) to be buyer so shop around. Good luck.
