Hey guys, how is it going?

I have a Gibson Les Paul Traditional 2013. Great guitar, i love it. Got it in '14 and kept it stock.

A friend of mine is selling a Faber ABRN bridge for a great price, and i had great success in the past with this brand so i wanna try it. Will this bridge fit in the Nashville posts?

I dont really wanna make any other changes on the guitar, so basically just looking for a drop-in replacement. (No NSWKIT or anything like that.)

I was checking Faber official website and it says something about the posts being bigger now, whats with that?

Anyway, big thanks! I appreciate!

No, the Faber ABRN won’t fit on the factory Nashville posts. The Faber NSWKit is just conversion posts that screw directly into the Nashville studs. It takes literally 2 seconds and no modification of the guitar (unlike like their BSWKit or iNSerts).

The NSWKit is totally reversible in 2 seconds and the minimum necessary to put their ABRN on any guitar. You don’t have to remove the Nashville studs, just unscrew the posts from them (which can be done with your fingers) and replace them with the NSWKit posts (which can be done with your fingers). It’s absolutely NO BIG DEAL. No drilling, no tapping, no pounding, no nothing just swap on the applicable parts.

That said, you can also buy some Nashville conversion posts from Philadelaphia Luthier instead for about 1/3 the price of the Faber NSWKit/conversion posts.

Don’t confuse the NSWKit (ie, conversion posts) for the more involved and complicated other kits. Conversion posts require NO mods to the guitar and are totally and easliy reversible in seconds... I can’t stress that enough.

Thanks man.

What about a Standard Faded '05? Will that bridge work without the NSWKit in those posts?

The Faber ABR can fit on the Nashville studs and bushings.
Here is my Standard with Nashville (old Standard, same as Traditional) with the Faber ABR.

The Nashville studs need to be made a bit thinner, doesnt take long with a loop of emery paper and rotate the stud within the loop.
Also, the spacing is slightly off, but this is an advantage, because then all slack is taken out providing much better coupling. Like having a 'tonelock' system, but cheaper:cool2:

It will fit on LPs up through 2011. They changed the Nashville posts after that.
