My Lone Star Special has one 8 ohm and two 4 ohm speaker outputs. I have the 2 x 12 combo which uses two 16 ohm speakers wired in parallel.
So I can use my 8 ohm hotplate between the 8 ohm output and the speakers.
The Lone Star manual says for a warmer and smoother sound the speakers should be used with one of the 4 ohm outputs. This is a safe mismatch. The manual also says this is the way to go in the 5 watt or the 15 watt mode.
When using the 4 ohm output should I use my 4 ohm hotplate or the 8 ohm hotplate?
Thank you in advance.
