I dont know if i,m on the right section,i,m new here, but i bought a les paul studio gold top,but the truss rod cover doesnt have Studio, does gibson make any without the studio on the cover? Thanks. I have the paper s that came with it,but that doesnt have studio on it. I bought it from the original owner,it has 2017 stamped on back of head stock,it mint condition, plays and sounds great, but no stamp on the cover.hmmm.

welcome to MLP

studios are the best bang for the buck you can buy, my opinion

i have a few and they are great players...enjoy the heck out of it, you made a wise choice

the truss rod cover , doesnt mean alot to me if it says Studio or not

MLP is a great place to get info

but if you want a truss rod cover that says Studio...they are plentiful

and most will ask for pics...so load a few up if you can :photos:

Its technically a Tribute model, which is why it doesn't say Studio. Tribute models have maple necks, the regular studios have the mahogany necks.
Looks nice, enjoy!

Does the tribute have different tuners than the studio?

Love the Studios/Tributes. The satin finish will age well. My Signature Player Plus has a satin finish as well.
The current Studio line have Grover Kidneys afaik.

I like blank TRCs personally. I have switched out the "Standard" ones for blank as well as the "Traditional" back when I had one of those.

Disagree. I've had multiple Tributes, all with mahogany necks.

Indeed a few do have maple necks. I do not know which line(s) exactly...

My "Studio" truss rod cover got ditched for one with my wife's nickname for it. She bought it for me and out of the blue decided it needed a name. No matter what the model, I always prefer a "blank" truss rod cover. jmho, ymmv.

Funny. I had a guy that said my 2020 Standard was fake because it didn’t say Standard on the truss rod cover. Unreal.
