Traffic
60 hours of video are uploaded every minute, or one hour of video is uploaded to YouTube every second.
Over 4 billion videos are viewed a day
Over 800 million unique users visit YouTube each month
Over 3 billion hours of video are watched each month on YouTube
More video is uploaded to YouTube in one month than the 3 major US networks created in 60 years
70% of YouTube traffic comes from outside the US
YouTube is localized in 39 countries and across 54 languages
In 2011, YouTube had more than 1 trillion views or almost 140 views for every person on Earth

thats pretty impressive! I don't know about the quality vs quantity thing. But I do know there are tons of great quality videos out there not just for entertainment but for reference. Other than having them go back to the old style homepage I wouldnt want youtube any other way

The US is all about quantity over quality. Some people would rather own 10 Epis than one Historic RI.

We just got an Apple TV box for our home. There are other brands.

The devices allow you to watch internet content over the TV.

I spent a good bit of time watching my favorite Youtube music videos this weekend. Better than the computer screen.

Again, no comment on the quality vs quantity debate.

There is still quality within the quantity but it involves some shovel work.

1 Gibson Historic Les Paul

OR

1 Epiphone Les Paul Standard
1 Epiphone SG
1 Epiphone Dot Studio
1 Epiphone Wilshire
1 Epiphone 6-string Acoustic
1 Epiphone 12-string Acoustic
And still have money for a decent tube amp.

For the same price.

Or go with a couple of epiphones and get a really nice amp.

Just sayin'

Besides, we all know it's the amp that makes the biggest difference in tone :D

I think the thing that disturbs me about YouTube is the overwhelming amount of obvious shitposting that happens in the comments section. If there's one place that epitomizes how people will sink to the lowest possible depths due to the anonymity of the internet it's the comments section on YouTube. Some of the stuff I've read there has absolutely floored me. How do some of these people dress themselves in the morning? I swear that if breathing weren't an automatic reflex many of these people would suffocate because they forgot how.

It's called trolling.

You should thank Bertzi for proving your point, Rod.

I'll take one Historic, please.

....meanwhile, somewhere on Craigslist right now there is a kid wondering why nobody wants to trade their USA Standard for his 7 Epiphones, a few DOD pedals and a Peavy amp with the pointy logo.

I'd get the historic probably, as all the other electrics would sti in the corner and remain unplayed. I really only use 1 guitar at a time now, so i'd rather have a really good one.

Still, I guess I could get a traditional instead and a nice amp and an epiphone acoustic if I really needed one.:thumb:

Agreed, and sometimes people are seemingly that stupid in both the comments section and real life.

I'd just generally rather have ONE nice anything than several lesser ones.

...unless we are talking about hotties. You know how that rule goes - two 5's equal a 10!

Yeah I get trolling, there's plenty of people who evidently think any attention is better than no attention but I mean some of those comments are just so over the top stupid that I fear for the future of civilization.
