Q re: Burny SG...MIJ vs MIK vs MIC??? EDIT - Identified! :)

Got an option to buy a Burny SG. Cherry, plays pretty good.
It's got a 3 screw truss rod cover and no extended tenon under the neck pickup. Pickups upgraded and wiring too.
Owner swears it's MIJ. I disagree, based on my research. I've read MIJ Burnys ALWAYS without fail have the 2 screw cover and ALWAYS have the long tenon.
I have photos on my Galaxy now, will try to upload.

Did MIJ Burnys always have that 2 screw cover and long tenon?
Would this be MIK or MIC?

I think there was a transition period where they also had a three screw.

If I'm gonna get a Burny SG, it's gonna be black. And definately beyond-a-shadow-of-a-doubt, an MIJ. All signs of the one I've posted are pointing to Korea or China, methinks.

Did they ever do the black Burny SG's with the small guard, pickup rings straight into the body? These would be poly, not nitro I'm guessing?

There has been some confusion about current MIJ models-only the RLC/RLG-85 and apparently a newer RLC-105 model seem to be MIJ--rest are MIC. As you can see from the pix, and also Fernandes's Japanese website (very clearly), even the MIJ model has a 3 screw TRC. "MADE IN JAPAN" and a 6 digit serial number is printed on the back of the headstock

I've got a few black MIJ SGs, they have a very, very thin finish. Be cautious though as the neck profile can vary big time.

Looks like the current MIC's have the 'Super Grade' script.

Hard to prove one way or another. Are the bridge posts screwed directly into the wood? I believe that is one way to tell the MIJs from the MICs.

Not sure if it's nitro (or care) the closest to the door is the fattest and they are all of the 61 variety.

The bridge itself IS screwed straight into the guitar. The tailpiece/stopbar lugs are screwed into sockets.
If this is the defining feature which will tell me what I've got, then I wanna get it right. Hope these pictures are good enough.

Further to this, I found a catalogue online.
Scroll to the end, and I believe at this point that this SG is a RSG-95'63, which, as it says, is MIJ.
Makes sense I think?
