Cannot believe the prices. Average $14,000 for a VOS! I sold mine over a year ago for 6500. I wouldn’t mind getting another but wow!

Are you sure the guitars sold for 14K or was that the asking or advertised price?
I found 2 sold on Reverb, one for $9250.00 and another for $11,500. The higher one was basically still new. Another few with 14K or so asking prices. But unless it’s sold, it’s still just an asking price.

ab is right though. I mean, really, is it that much different from any other 1959 RI to justify the price?

hell. no.

I made what I had in mine on my PG VOS, but finding the person to pay top dollar for 'that' model of 'any' guitar is like a diamond in the rough. Ask too much you will be waiting to collect....Way too many tyre kicker/time wasters....

The best situation to be in is you don't 'have' to sell it, but are, so you can 'wait'.....

but be prepared to wait.........

a long fucking time......

Pretty dumb to let one go for $6,500 just a year ago. Mine sold for double that four years ago.

That’s a serious chunk of change! Must have been exceptional.

It wasn’t worth that much … it’s just because it was one of 50 signed… I’m looking for the pics I took ….
