That was the thing. I was wanting alot of custom work, like binding, paint and other things I can't think of now. The guys were realy nice to talk to, and could satisfy my needs, but all the cash up front? Mabey its just me, but I have never done business lke that before. If it were just a kit, No problem. But with all the extras, I think they would have to be OK'd to proceed?

Well, don't you actually think that amount of custom work means they have more of a right to charge up front? After all, they are putting substantially more time into your project, and with that level of customisation, if something goes wrong, you change your mind, give up guitar for ukelele or similar, the higher the level of customisation, the less potential interest to another buyer.

Just sayin' it. I can sort of see your point of view, but I can see theirs as well.

Yep, good point.

Also i know 2 others have asked this but you dont seem to want to reply:

WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR DECALS FROM?

We'd really like to know. Nice build btw man.

Very nice work. Where did you get the single layer pickguard??? I found one for my last build but they seem hard to come by.

The decals came from rob at Home. The pick guard was from a US supplier, via eBay, it took a fair bit of fine shaping and sanding but pleased with the look of it.
I have a band rehearsal tonight so will see how it performs at proper volume levels

The final product looks great, excellent job! And kudos for putting the front strap button in the right spot. :thumb:

Funny you mention the front strap button as I took it to rehearsal last night with one of my old straps and it sat pretty high on me. Guess I just need a me strap . Sounded great though, very snarly dog.

congratulations on your build. I am a huge fan of Precision - have built one 59 les paul with P90s and the sound is unbelieveable - also plays so superbly. Has huge volume and sustain and sensitivity - here my review and pics on the precision site

Peake Performance | Precision Guitar Kits

Hi guys,

I'm getting file not found for the Precision Guitar Kits website, I placed an order 2 days ago when the site was up and now only their Facebook page remains, but no way to place an order etc...

Anyone know what's going on?

I'm praying it is just a Internet Provider glitch, but who-ever runs their website is going to cost them thousands a day I'd imagine.....

They have by far the best reputation for quality - something I hope they can afford to keep going.
