I just entered into a deal with Lee over at the Grinning Elk Music Co. to purchase this 2011*Gibson Hist. Division*Les Paul R7 Goldtop : Vintage Rare Collectible Guitar Sales from the Grinning Elk Music Company Lee has put it on hold for me

Yeah, I felt the R7 was a great place to start among the historic Les Paul guitars. I'm not sure if I'll go for a R8/R0/R9 next time. I've been seeing a lot of good prices on used historic models lately.

Mine has a wider streak down the left side which is lighter. Forgive how dry my board is in these pics...have to clean and oil it...

Not my favorite pattern, but I'm fine with it. I always prefer darker boards as do most. Your pattern is really nice.

Actually seems to bring out the differences even more.

I prefer it more even, but I love the guitar so I'm fine with it. Oiling it helps.
