I collected them as a kid. I had a pretty cool collection, but stopped when postcards started changing shape, getting weird edges, and especially putting the name of where you are on the postcard front!!

Who needs to be told your are writing a postcard from Paris with the Eiffel Tower on the front, or the Grand Canyon smashed over a picture of what is obviously the Grand Canyon. Horrible, horrible graphic design! Sad.

Fast forward, a while back I joined a site in which you exchange post cards from random people all over the globe. It's cool to get something in the mail that is not a bill or junk mail! So far very few with names plastered on the front.

I'm putting them on my wall. For now.

In college, the cafeteria had individual containers of cereal with paper tops that you pulled off to open it. I collected those to remember all the cereal I ate.

Get yourself a large sheet of Plexiglass and mount them on it, then you can flip them all in one fell swoop.

I have a few post cards that were written during WW11 from Europe to relatives in the United States.
They used every inch of the postcard telling the latest family news from Europe.

Not my family though.
