I got a bit stalled with my builds this year but I managed to wrap this one up last week.

How did you shape the top and back? Is it steamed and pressed, or carved archtop style?

Some of my novice work. The Frehley Tribute start off great unitl I went to do some wet sanding. The cheap veneer bubbled and split in few places, :( so no finished pics since it has been sitting. The special was built a a fund raiser auction for my daughters school. The cheap $125.00 kit fetched $500. I was pleasantly surprised since I only expected to get 150 to 200.

This is the first guitar I built all on my own. The very first was built in a luthier class.
This is called the Supernova Model. It is my nod to the Gibson korina models from 1958 and the idea how one could have looked like, if they had been not as radical a departure from the common guitar design.

Specs are:
- one piece korina body
- korina neck
- ebony fretboard
- 24.625 inch scale
- SD Phat Cat in the neck position
- SD Seth Lover in the bridge position
- Vol. / Vol. / Master Tone

Any room for acoustics in the guitar build thread? This one I build a couple of years ago - my second acoustic. Solid Koa top, back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony fretboard, bridge and tuner buttons, abalone inlays and sound hole rosette, Cap and back strap on the headstock are off cuts from the body pieces.

And the latest one, a mini dreadnought with full scale length and 12 fret join. On its way to being finished. Engelmann spruce top, koa back, mahogany sides and neck. Rosewood fretboard, abalone inlays.
