So what's the story on the 61-63 SG style LP Jrs? Local shop has a 62 for $2800. Looks to be in great shape but I haven't played it yet. Do these compare favorably to its single and double cuts brothers? Thanks!

They sound thinner, not as thick. But they do sound good and play great. And they do have that 'Les Paul' silkscreen on the headstock.

I love these guitars as stated above they are a little thinner just like a PAF SG/LP is thinner than a Burst. They are a great buy -price wise IMO.Below are The 1961 SG TV from Brucie Baby -And a 1962 SG/LP JR and a 1956 GT.

Thanks for the replies guys! The 56 I was looking at sold, so I was hoping the 62 would be close. Maybe I'll just wait until the Fall show in Philly to pull the trigger.

The deal with them is they are like Fiat automobiles. I am glade they are both here but I don't want either one. They play OK but no room to move and yes thin is a good word.
